Sharing Projects
Share your projects with clients or collaborators using secure links. You control who can access them, what they can do, and for how long.
How to Share a Project
Sharing is done directly from the project:
- Open the project you want to share
- Click the Share icon in the project toolbar
- The share dialog opens — configure your link settings
- Copy the generated link and send it to your recipient
Public vs Private Links
Public Link
Anyone with the link can view the project — no login required. Ideal for sharing with clients who don't have a StorageCone account.
Private Link
The recipient must be logged in to view the project. Use this when you want to restrict access to specific registered users only.
Share Dialog Controls
All sharing controls are available directly in the share dialog:
- Expiry date
Set a date after which the link automatically stops working. Great for time-sensitive deliveries.
- Downloads
Toggle whether the recipient can download photos or view them only.
- Watermark
Enable watermarking to protect your photos when sharing for preview or proofing.
- Album access
Choose which albums within the project the recipient can see — share the whole project or limit to specific albums.
Tips
- • Use a public link for clients who don't have accounts — no friction for them
- • Use a private link for sensitive deliveries where you want login-level access control
- • Set an expiry date so links don't stay active indefinitely after delivery
- • Turn on watermark for proofing rounds, then disable it for final delivery
- • Restrict album access to share only the relevant parts of a large project
